So you can critique someone and "they might still know a thing or two". 2) If one doesn't have a standard of precision then I guess any golf instruction for any particular person at any particular time could have value for someone - so no golf instruction is really bad. Or if you don't hold someone to some standard of precision then I guess you could give them carte blanche in regards to what they are saying - who are we to judge. or if you like pragmatism as a philosophical base then if it helps someone it must not be that bad. However, in contrast if you hear someone say that it's geometrically impossible to slice from a certain shaft position combined with a proper release - well it's just laughable in regards to the lack of precision in the statement. If not - then it should be easy for those 90% of golfers to find that shaft position and then have David define what a proper release is and no more slicers. Could have said impossible to slice from a certain shaft location but I will say that adding "geometrically" gives it a little more official sounding statement - of course if you were precise then you would have added that word because there was another alternative and you wanted to differentiate it clearly - that's if you use words/concepts precisely - when you don't you can just throw in stuff to make it sound good - because you have no respect for precision concepts and that's probably part of my disdain for his statement beyond the specific use of it in that sentence. __________________ Life Goal- Developing a new theory of movement based on Brain Science Interests - Dabbling with insanity Hobbies- Creating Quality Last edited by Mike O : 12-19-2015 at 02:24 AM.
