Below Plane
I am really fighting hooking the ball, this is nothing new because of my TGM lessons lately, been doing it quite a while.
I get below plane during the takeaway, get back on plane at the top, and then on the way down below plane before impact and clearly hitting from the inside. Here is a video http://widedivots.com/video/swing/24...-16-09-hitting I know there is a slight outside takeaway before taking it inside on the backstroke. I really dont know how I can correct this, would a steeper shoulder plane help? Should I think more spin out type move down rotating hard left with my hips? For years I had fought coming from the outside, now its way inside. So weird how this game works. |

I think you are losing the flat left and bent right wrist alignments at impact. Perhaps we could have a better idea from the front (caddie view). Kevin |
Here is the face on (had to use youtube), wife filmed a little back of perpendicular. Sorry for the crap video but its tough to film in the daylight outside (its hot!!) and this was impromptu. I just got back from a 2 hour session really working on a) impact fix b) cross line thrust c) pp #1........compression was through the roof and no real hooks, some pulls but 8-sw was just superior compression. The ground was blowing up is the best I can describe it. I did try steepening the shoulder turn a little but that led to some blocks and fats so I kind did not feel like screwing around with that.

gmbtempe,
Also, when setting up at impact fix, I like the clubface to "appear" open. Here are a couple of good examples: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gm-NIP3UOkY Kevin |

Thats a great picture. The whole key last night is I understand a little more of the cross line thrust per 2-J-3-A (i think), golflagtips site really has some cool pictures on that (i see you there as well). I now trust that the thrust and clubface may look like its going to send it right but the physics and geometry do not. Its harder to ingrain that though with a driver swing hitting. |

you know, it looks like you get up on your right toe pretty quick though impact/follow through......see if keeping some pressure on the ball of your right foot longer helps slow down that hook.
