I see videos of these guys talking about hitting straight shots with the following logic: Given a square plane line and balls back of low point the face which is square to the path and the path both point to the right, no divergence . (Producing a straight push , but under powered I think due to the open face). To hit it straight at the target the recommendation as I understand things is to rotate the plane line to the left . Giving you a straight shot at the target yes.. but to my mind one hit with more than true loft ... sorta like a cut shot but with no divergence. I just don't see good players hitting straight shots like this ... unless they're trying to hit it higher than normal .
