I've been here 6 weeks and don't know so much, but as far as I have understood a chip shot is (can) not (have) a total motion. A total motion is a full swing. A chip is a basic motion - only 2 feet back and 2 feet thru. A half swing is a acquired motion, arms parallel to the ground back and thru.
