After Practice Thoughts
A little about me:

I've been a professional for over 30 years.

I used to be a pretty OK player

I got the short game yips around the year 2000, 50/50 whether I could chip it on the green from 5 yards off. Luckily I hit a lot of greens

I got the driver yips last spring. Quit playing and couldn't even hit balls with members watching. Nobody was safe. Had no clue whatsoever WTF was going on. Basically quit the game.

Started studying TGM last fall to make myself a better teacher, and hanging out here in an effort to get a clue.

Now my thoughts:

1) Anyone who says a steady stationary head is not an imperative doesn't like Mom and Apple Pie.

2) Anyone who says that a clubhead lag pressure point is not imperative and THE SECRET TO GOLF doesn't like gravy on their biscuits.

3) Anyone who says it is not imperative to go through the line of compression with a flat left wrist, and avoiding throw away... just run, run away fast, they may be demonically possessed.

I hit balls today, just basic and acquired motion. I haven't felt compression like that in 10 years. Just working on basic structure and flying wedges from the Alignment Golf DVDs, and trying to get the right forearm on plane like Brian Gay, and sorry, but a little S&T and Trolio thrown in. Last winter I was yipping wedges even from the mats, couldn't get it airborne. NO FEAR ANYMORE. Wearing out the center of the face may be exaggerating a little, but not much.

The yellow book really isn't fun, it's hard work, but it's the TRUTH. Thanks YODA and crew for keeping us on the proper path.

I AM SO EXCITED, I get to play golf again!!!

Kevin

Oh, one more thing. I apologize YodasLuke, I'm definitely a swinger!
