Now, with exactly the same motion, place your low point under the ground (and not at ground level as with the driver example) and a wedge replaces the driver. To be properly contacted, the ball must then be positionned up plane (that is back in you stance and closer to you). You all know it: Because the motion is on an inclined plane, you will contact the ball first, then the ground down and out to low point.
