Most software apps allow direct digital video capture via firewire (sometimes referred to as IEEE 1394 or ilink port). Capturing in camera and then transferring via USB is NOT the way to go. You could buy a DV conversion device, but why bother when you can get cams with firewire output for less than $300. Another important issue is the lens. Stock wide angle lens still require the cam to be 10-20 feet away from the subject to get your subject full frame. So, if you're using it indoors and you don't have a ton of room, look into a buying a powerful wide angle lens. Andy R View Public Profile Send a private message to Andy R Find all posts by Andy R
