Yes, I was hoping for an answer from someone else because you see every question about TT instruction as being sacrilegious. I have seen all the chapters many many times- that is why I ask questions. I don't think telling people to watch and accept them as gospel is much of an answer. I understand extensor action. I do think TT needed to add that it doesn't move the left arm that it pulls outward. Is this the Geeeezzzzzz personal attack? Now maybe I am wrong. Maybe an outward strech can move the right arm. Homer says no, but it is obvious that the right arm is doing both. So I ask.


I have always said that TT did a bang up job with the tape- I enjoy them. I do think you block any question with the standard "watch the tapes and do these drills." TT leaves some questions to be asked. I do not think he would mind them- why you? TT is only one of many outstanding AIs that worked with Homer. I like to learn from all of them and ask them questions. Devotion is a fine but Blind devotion is just that- blind.

I'll take a try. Mark Evershed is a very good instructor working in Canada. TGM trained. Gives a lot of credit to Homer. Also spent a lot of time with Moe Norman. In 1985 he went to South Carolina and spent a lot of time with Tommy Tomasello. He actually gives TT humongous credit for turning his game and his teaching around.

Evershed talks a lot about the golf swing as a right sided swing (Those are mostly my words. I'm trying to paraphrase what I remember). He talks a lot about extensor action. He says the right hand-arm will always try to swing on-plane. If you try to swing by pulling the left arm you will more often than not swing straight down the target line, OFF-PLANE. He also talks about the 4accumulators. Evershed teaches a 4 barrel swinging procedure.

So, if we want to try to get a window to Tomasello, maybe we should look to Evershed.
