The reason you can't sustain the lag is because you are so eager to make the club move fast (a reaction to the intent of "hitting it far"). So on a full shot you throw it away too early, which doesn't happen for your short chip. (bts)

Without doing any research and really a wild guess- I'd say Gary Player. Why? Becuase he's verbose, he's seems to always have a positive outlook on things, he talks or focuses on integrity/charactor and he is really health conscious- good diet, excercise, etc. That quote covers a lot of those areas.
