One More Time...
With the release of the new Tomasello video a recording from 1989, it will be interesting to see/hear how much Tommy talks about pulling the club down with both forearms to start the downswing. As far as the pulling down of the right forearm and the uncocking the right elbow at start down....when I studied with Tommy I asked him where did that come from....where in the book does it say that...Tommy's response 7-3. From my lessons with Tommy and what is written in the book....I believe the paper trail in the book (especially the 7th edition) that shows how Tommy taught swinging can be found in the following sections of the book...follow this trail....start with section 7-3, then go to 10-3-B...then 10-3-D, next 6-B-2-0, 12-5-3 then watch the #5 Chapter series video on Power then watch the #2 Letter series video. Pay attention to the comments on forearms and full power.

Thanks Howard for making the new Tomasello tapes available....I'm sure many new insights will come from watching the tapes over and over....in addition to the comments from the forum members who have bought and will do a complete study of the instruction. Good Job!!!!

By the way wolfman, you are AWESOME on American Gladiators!
Would warm weather people be into that? Walking through a park at night to bust some pull-ups? Hell no- I'd be mugged or shot!

Oh ya, Matt - they have those bars you can put in between your door jams- and do pull-ups! Then you wouldn't have to have to walk through the park, in the middle of the night, uphill both ways, in 10 feet of snow, to do pull ups on a bar. I'm thinking that you and Wolfman may be suffering from "Brain Freeze" - quickly get to a doctor!

You know, you guys should put together a section on the website for your UNRELATED jibber jabber....you guys waste my time and a lot forum members time. It might be the NUMBER 1 thing that would turn golfers from viewing the threads. I have limited the amount of time I spend on this site because of it....for the most part, I know I'm not missing anything. At this point, I only show up to read Yoda's posts and the read occasional enlightening new post....and respond to private messages. The High School humor sucks, it really sucks when I have to wade through it. I believe they're is way too much and the location of the posts are becoming down right RUDE. I'm posting this because when the posts are golf related....the stuff is really good.

Dave,
You know there are a lot of ways I could have responded to your post- but here's two I came up with - A) You really can't control who posts what on any thread. I don't find it that difficult to skip over "nothing" posts if I'm interested in something of substance. B) If you'd like to try to control your Tomasello thread in regards to my posts- then I give you permission to PM Lynn, Bagger, BamBam and ask them to delete any of my posts that you think would improve your thread. I'm not saying they will or won't do it- doesn't really matter to me- if they want to pull them down upon your request- I'm fine with that.

Summarized in a different way- A) Can't say I 100% agree with your view but B) if pulling my posts off the thread respects your request - I'm more than happy to help. After all- I'd rather see people here on Lynn's site- Learn, have some fun, enjoy the company but not get bent out of shape or argumentative- that's just not worth it.

Wow! You got chumped. . . .

Dave . . . many people could say the exact same thing about your posts pards . . . lighten up. I can't count how many times people may be talking about something and you start all that . . . "Watch the Tomasello tapes 300 times" . . . . Magic of the Right Forearm . . . Magic of the Right Forearm . . . Magic of the Right Forearm . . . and jack the thread up higher than the Vega sittin' on bricks in Mike's front yard. Then you rock these posts about a school that's being done "You won't find what you're seeking there."

Clean up your own front porch before you come to pressure wash the boogers off Mike O.

I like your posts. I read them with interest. I wish you had more time to share discussing TGM.

The lighthearted threads are ‘empty’ but I’ve found them to be valuable as well. I’ve never met Mike O or Bucket but I’ve read hundreds of ‘Very Content Rich’ posts from each of them which demonstrate their commitment and command of the Subject, and their clarity and precision in thinking, and I’ve come to know their serious side.

For years they’ve been helping people with the same subject matter over and over and I’ve never read a complaint from one of them or blow someone off. I haven’t seen more commitment from anyone. Each of them has added greatly to the volumes of information contained in this site and they have helped thousands of people.

Don’t ask people to be serious all of the time. Their posts will look like short novels and they’ll discuss every topic in the Book in a few days. It’s too much to take in over a few readings.

This guy goes to a psychiatrist and says, 'Doc, my brother's crazy, he thinks he's a chicken.' And the doctor says, 'Well why don't you turn him in?' and the guy says, 'I would, but I need the eggs.

All of us. Committed, serious, compulsive, obsessive. One doesn’t need to point fingers on this Website. We spend and share a lot of time here, we blow off steam here too.

Science blows holes in this TT, forearm, maximum power theory.

Firstly, I have seen ZERO data in ANY of the 3-D imaging technology that supports the theory about the forearms starting the downstroke. So, you can choose to believe the theory and ignore the data or believe the data and ignore the theory.

Secondly, it ruins the sequencing and summation of the proper stretch-shorten cycles of the involved muscle groups.

If you still choose to believe that the world is flat, the rest of Tommy's work will be considered a bunch of garbage. And, that's not the case; because, Tommy had a lot to offer.

DD,

Would this qualify as "UNRELATED jibber jabber?"

Ted,

Wouldn't it have been great if Homer had access to the 3D tech stuff?

(Although the book would still be hard to follow, I reckon)

The Truth
Those who order the new Tomasello DVD's will know the truth. Arguing about this is another form of wasting my time. Like Tom Tomasello, I like to do things efficiently and effectively.
