Sorry for hijacking this thread, but look at the clubface of Freddie in that clip at Impact (front view)! Can someone explain what's going on there?
What software are you using to see exactly at impact? I only have Windows Media Player 9 and can only stop the motion arbitrarily using Control-P (I'm on Windows 2000 Pro).

Ratio is typically 3:1 for pros. Matthew could confirm but I'm pretty sure we're only seeing the frames he thought relevant for analysis, not the other 15-18 frames that regular video can capture in a swing sequence (aprox. 30 frames per second)
Yup alot of the backstroke and the frames towards the finish were taken out...
Thanks bambam. I've sent them an email describing my requirements and will keep you posted.
Here's their response..
Alan,
We can only play AVI files in slow motion. We can import some WMV files but not all.
Our software creates only real AVI files. A real AVI file is a series of still pictures and looks and plays just like a movie at a theatre. Each frame is a whole picture, not just what has changed.
Compressed files such as WMV are made differently. One initial picture is taken and then for a number of frames only what has changed is what is recorded. Then, another reference picture is taken, then more of only what has changed. Compressed files are much smaller in size but also have much less video content.

I've downloaded and used the free version of their software and have never had trouble opening avi or wmv files. Even the free version of V1 (downloadable from their site) lets you step through a video so you can see impact (assuming impact was captured by the individual who shot the video).
