He was no Jed Clampett
I played in back of him in a tournament back in 1987. He would take the club to the Top of his swing and appear to hold it there for a few seconds before Start Down. Kind of strange I thought at the time. I remember he had a white staff bag endorsed with a Nestles (chocolate) logo on the side of his bag. His hosels rotated arround his sweet spot .

I followed him for 18 grueling holes in 82 at the Open. After the day before seeing only a few holes and his commanding lead to the next day was painful.

John Allan May did an article on him and followed it up with a series on The Golfing Machine, he had talked with Mr. Kelley a number of times. The article were good, show a comparison of others and TGM, different names, but same type of techniques advocated by the lesser knowns.

That is where and when I got my first copy of TGM...

Regarding the Stats, BC was not a leader in any of the areas, that was a surprise to me, I thought he would have been in the top 10 in most, he wasn't. Guess only seeing him a few times wasn't as representative as I thought of his game. Still he had potential.....

I think Annikan deserves a bit of consideration here to. He hasn't had the chance to see that posts have been deleted and he is left looking worse than he might be with hanging posts and a condescending categorization. I have never seen him involved in any flaming at all in here unless i am vastly mistaken. The ability to edit is close to abused by some.

If Annikan would like a little cleanup, I'm happy to oblige. My interest is keeping the subject on track.

Thanks,

Bagger
