After my introduction to TGM nearly all the books listed that I have read have much more meaning and make a lot more sense. There is depth in each of them I had never seen before.
Mr. Boomer's book has become an old reliable.
Since I am incapable of getting anything out of reading TGM, I have today ordered these books after reading this thread:
1 "How to Play Your Best Golf All the Time"
Tommy Armour; Paperback; $0.01
1 "Golf Manual"
Alex Hay; Hardcover; $4.17
1 "The Mechanics of Golf"
Alex Hay; Paperback; $1.05
1 "Four Magic Moves to Winning Golf"
Joe Dante; Paperback; $5.99
1 "How to Feel a Real Golf Swing: Mind-Body Techniques from Two of Golf's Greatest Teachers"
Bob Toski; Paperback; $0.01
5 books for 11 dollars + shipping (which is much more).
I already have Percy Boomer: On learning Golf.
and Paul Runyan's book.
That should keep me busy ...
sounds like you need to see an authorized instructor to help you understand the golfing machine. my vote for best swing book is how to feel a real golf swing which is more Davis love than toski
Forgot all about Dante's book, one of my first books I bought on Golf. I also like Golf Fundamentals by Seymour Dunn. - just a cool book. What most of these books lack is a sense of terminology, a vocabulary to explain Physics and Geometry, perhaps Homer's greatest contribution to the golf stroke.
