Thanks Air - I'm sure I will need more then 2 hours. I just want to get the basics down, Maybe a half day?
I'm not looking for miracles. Just money is tight and I want the biggest bang for my buck. And again I don't want to wast Mr. Blake's time.
At one time I had dreams, would quit work, play the Champions Tour and live the life of a Pro Golfer. Well now, I just want to shoot in the 80's regularly, maybe break 80. Will that take time? Oh yeah! LOL! Especially for me. . Do I have the time, yes. The money?????
Mr. Blake seems to me to be an exceptional teacher.... I hope I can get a chance to work with him...
So - Should I get Alignment Golf DVD, study that and then go see Mr. Blake, or go see Mr. Blake then get the DVD? Or, LOL, See Mr. Blake and put off the DVD?
Thanks again for your help. I do sincerely appreciate it! Y'all seem to be some real nice folks on this site and I see from reading so many posts how you guys encourage others to seek, find and improve, and that I can't help but improve no matter which direction I go, as long as I pick one philosophy and stick with it.
As for me, I know, Mr Blake is the way to go.
Hi Jesse. Let me add my words of welcome having just spent 4 days with Lynn Blake in various capacities as student and poor videographer. I have had more than 11 hip operations on my left hip and I have an artificial hip and a metal rod in my left leg and a 1.75" shortness in my front leg or left leg.
Plus, I am a plus size chubby monkey!
The Golf Machine as taught by Mr. Blake is very logical and simple. Several times during our lessons, I found myself logically understanding what Lynn had said an going back and self-correcting my errors based on Lynn's clear, friendly, and fun presentations.
I would send my children to Mr. Blake without hesitation and plan to go back to Lynn next year to soak up more of his deep understanding of the G.O.L.F machine.
LYnn has made it possible for me to regularly shoot par and his clear instruction has shown me how to carry a solid golf swing through my entire bag! Lynn is a national/international treasure for the game of golf and a great human being!

Shooting par is exceptional! You should be proud given all that you have experienced and gone through!
You have reached my goal and I'm very jealous! I hope someday too shoot par as well! For me that'll probably be from the red tees.
I saw some of your videos last night and they were great and it was fun to watch the interaction between student and teacher. Gives you a real feel for how Yoda teaches and I like his style. Animated, knowledgeable, and he honestly cares about his students and their improvement, you can see that from watching his many videos.
4 days straight you say!!!! Yep, I'm jealous!!!! Keep up the good work!
I think the fact that Yoda just had to post an extra video of ICT smoking his driver goes a long way in showing his outstanding passion for teaching and for the game. That's the kind of mentor I'd like to learn from

To review my beginning understanding:
1) Correct grip under the heel pad of the front or left hand. "DRINK WATER HANDS"
2) Standard, Mid-Body Address. THE BENT LEFT WRIST IS MID-BODY TO PROMOTE LAG IN BOTH DIRECTIONS!
3) MacDonald drills showing independent shoulder and hip motion, marching, sequencing and a natural turn while in BALANCE.
4) BALANCE MUST BE MAINTAINED THROUGH THE ENTIRE SWING SO THE ORGANIC SWING HITS ALL OF THE PROPER SWING POSITIONS OF THE GOLFING MACHINE.
4.5 Proper left forearm above right at address PROPER SHOULDER ALIGNMENT
5) A Balanced Tripod allows the club to release and bite down to compress the ball AS THE CLUB OVERTAKES THE FRONT ARM AND SWINGS PAST THE HEAD. As my confidence grew, my club speed grew and my trust of the club face grew.
6) A properly held club will do do all the work by itself as the Hands, which are strong, educated clamps, move through the Machine.
Lynn Blake understands the technical and logical relationships of The Golfing Machine, all of them. He transmits his understanding using insights formed by many years of living golf. Reading TGM will give you the right words but Lynn will teach you the correct tune and rhythm, and the author's intent in composing the organic composition.
YOU CANNOT POSE YOURSELF INTO THE CORRECT STATIC POSITIONS. THE CORRECT POSITIONS ARE DYNAMIC AND ORGANIC AND ARE LOGICALLY RELATED ONE TO ANOTHER IN BALANCE WITH RHYTHM.

I'm with you on not posing yourself into correct positions. In the Cathy video (and maybe in one of your videos as well??) around the 55-second mark, she made a 'drinking water' motion to show a Vertical Hand alignment. That was pretty eye-opening as to how every facet of the Machine is revolved around dynamic movement (and another thing to consider on my next range session ). Now I can say I'm working on my alignments when I'm sitting on the couch drinking while watching golf
