Has anybody experienced TGM's overwhelming effect on your mental state so that the learning process comes to a stop and you get frustrated and discouraged?

Ok, sorry, you are at the North Pole!
Try this. You are at Santa's Workshop and you are employed as a quality control engineer. Your job is to test the toys and see which ones you really like, understand, want to buy with your 30% discount. etc.
To quote the Eagles (not the pathetic green football team led by the dog murderer Michael Vick, but the cool rock group) :
"Lighten up while you still can. Don't even try to understand (everything). Just find
a place to make your stand and take it easy."

TGM is the study and application of a very complex subject and yet "The Ultimate Goal" is a very simple uncompensated Golf Stroke. 12-1-0 and/or 12-2-0 are very simple and uncompensated Strokes.
You cannot avoid the learning difficulty and you may spend years grasping the concepts and understanding the complexity of component relationships.
Santa Claus doesn't live in Norway (Drøbak) any more - He has been kidnapped and brought to Finland. In the summer the North Pole ice melts away.
Those Finns!!!!!!

I tried to learn mathematics and chemistry, but had to give it up. 40+ years later my brain is a lot slower. This isn't very promising.
