Im trying to figure out the geometry of the Explanar in TGM terms. Its set up on his turned shoulder plane but doesnt shift like say Homers plane board would if it were motorized. His clubshaft at impact shifts down to his hands plane (his elbow isnt on plane). The Explanar isnt really a "plane" is it. Only one part of the shaft rides it, the shaft doesnt lay flat on it. I know there is one at the Swamp and there are photos of Brian Gay in it.
What do you guys think about the geometry it trains?

Luther Blacklock, the Explanar developer, and really good guy BTW, has said that it's design allows for plane shifting. I have seen pics of Brian using it as well, and would also be interested in Yoda's comments.

Thanks Kev. Have you ever climbed into one?
Its a bit of 3D puzzle. Homers basic geometry being a flat plane, with a circle laying on it. The plane shifts up and down in various manners. The clubshaft always laying flat to the plane and one end of the club always pointing at the Base Line. The Explanar is a static circle that allows the clubshaft to shift planes. Can they describe the same clubhead orbit, clubshaft? Sometimes? Never? My brain hurts.

If you look at Y.E. in the DTL and imagine beams of light coming out of the handle and the end ..........he isnt tracing a straight line. But maybe Im missing something.

Good catch guys... perhaps why Yoda teaches on straight lines using dowels and sticks?

So the Explanar would not receive a TGM endorsement?...or YA is not keeping his alignments while utilizing the device?  |

Nearly every golfer shifts planes at least once during the swing.
Not sure how a swing ring can deal with it.
