With the recent threads on magic forearms and fanning it struck me that the fanning move (external rotation of the humerus) is not a common move in life or in the average golf swing.
Easy to muddle with forearm motion...
I have never used a TALY but it struck me that it might be a good visual to attach 1 TALY to the right forearm and 1 TALY to the right upper arm...
If you align the "clowns' noses" (and conceivably even dress up one nose like a beach ball - ie. different coloured stripes) at address - would it provide a good visual to seperate supination (forearm) motion from external rotation / fanning of the upper arm?
owning a Taly myself, I can tell you that sticking two on one arm is highly improbable.
However, perhaps the idea has merit and you should follow through and design your own prototype

Well, the Taly normally is used to prevent or indicate a bending of the left wrist. Turn or Roll of the flat left wrist does not see the Taly and clubshaft collide. The right wrist however should bend assuming you start at Adjusted and so Im not sure about it on the right arm unless you used it in a different manner. On top of the right forearm to discourage or indicate right wrist cocking maybe? Dont have one with me right now to check this out.
I do like the Tally though. Its a real eye opener in terms of the overtaking with out bending the left wrist.
If you attach one on the INSIDE of the right forearm you can practice setting up with the right forearm on plane by making sure the shaft/clown nose is above the shaft as you look down.

Just one of many uses.
