Would anyone know where there is video of Bobby Clampett's golf swing when he first started on the PGA Tour in the early 1980's?
I don't have any video, but Golf Magazine did a piece on his swing with analysis by Homer Kelley. The analysis was heavily edited and bore little semblance to Homer's work.
Years ago I put up a post on another site that restored Homer's original commentary to the swing sequence. I don't think that post made it into our own archives, and the link we had to it no longer works.
It is an important contribution and should be a 'sticky' on our own site. Unless someone can help me out here, I guess there is a manual 'do-over' in my future.
You found it, Bigwill. And Doug sent me a copy of the original posts by email with copies to Bagger and Bambam.
A great big personal and LBG "Thanks!!" to you both.
The Golf Magazine article was published in the April 1983 issue, about six weeks after Homer Kelley's death on February 14. I originally posted the 'real deal' on another site on March 23, 2004, and we started a thread with it here on April 26, 2006.
Bagger / Bambam: This needs to be a sticky in the Golfing Machine Basic Forum. Or, maybe in the Gallery, under the Pictures tab or maybe a new Stroke Sequences tab.
