single wrist action(via natural body rotation)
Could someone explain to me what this statement means"In single wrist action. the left wrist gradually turns(via the natural body and arm rotation),but it is not turned by the player.

The Hand does not turn itself but will turn as the body rotates. And because the Hand has NO MOTION, Impact Alignments remain intact. The Left wrist does cock because of the folding right arm as the stroke comes to the Top (shoulder level). For a Hitter, this is a match made in heaven.

A Swinger would not use Single Wrist Action but Standard Wrist Action that does turn by itself and rotates the Hands and takes the Stroke past the Top to the End. This can be an early set or late set of the wrists.
Nuke, thanks. And Jerry was asking a question thinking the answer was no.

I quess I do not know the difference between standard and single wrist action. Can anybody helpl me?
Does the left forearm swivel with both standard and single wrist action?
If I use standard wrist action you are saying my left forearm does not rotate ?
I am confused!!

I would NOT worry about what the left forearm does. It moves as the Hands move. Standard Left Wrist Action turns on plane to the right on the Take-Away and rolls on plane back to the left on the Down Stroke.
The Hands, therefore the left forearm, does NOT move with the Hitter's Single Left Wrist Action, but the body rotation turns the Hands in relationship to the ball. How could it not? The Hands do NOT turn independently
The Hands, therefore the left forearm, does move with the Swinger's Standard Left Wrist Action. It moves independently of the body rotation. It may turn and cock early, mid or late in the Take-Away.
Forget about the forearm- Educate the Hands. They control everything.

The Hand turns in relationship to the ball as the body rotates.
Stand and tuck your left elbow to your body and reach out like you are shaking someone's hand. Now pivot to the right. Your Hand turned but did not turn itself.
