Little confused on RFW at steup please calrify..

Im a little confused on where your right forearm at setup should be. The right forearm at setup should be in line with the shaft. correct ? In order to get this in line do you move your left fore arm or should I say left wrist(neutral) "up" to get the left arm in line with the shaft ? Hope this isnt too confusing..

One of YODA's greatest hits. The left wrist should not be COCKED, but LEVEL. For me, I felt like I had to raise my hands significantly, as they were very low and cocked. The enclosed pictures show Brian Gay with the right forearm on plane at address, and what a level left wrist looks like.

Kevin, when you do this does it appear(when looking down) that your left arm and shaft look like one? When I raise my left hand it almost feels like im losing my left arm flying wedge.

I think thats optional MacGolf. I like to set up at Impact Fix with my hands ahead of the ball, and my left arm / club shaft in a straight line. Most would teach address hands where your shaft is pointing more at your belt buckle, and the Left Wrist would be flattened somewhere in the back stroke after a lagging club head takeaway. When I get more comfortable setting my right forearm on plane, I am going to work at this procedure as YODA is a big believer in lagging club head takeaway.

This is something you will need to experiment with. As long as you are able to get that left wrist flat at impact, the procedure for getting there is up to you...

Kevin is right on!!! If you're swinging, it's encouraged that you start at adjusted address which would give you a slightly bent (cupped) left hand. I guess you could say that your left arm flying wedge is out of line (B/L/V) at standard address and becomes constructed in startup.
For what it's worth, if I ever get a little sketchy with it, I just go to desired impact, then move back to a "standard"/adjusted address.
