I think the sooner
Tiger climbs back on the 'horse what brung him', the better.
Three months in the 'dog house' is long enough: There are way too many people depending on a resolution to this 'problem'. Nobody, including his family, is well-served dragging this thing out.
Not to mention the fragility of an athlete's 'dog years'; the now-in-reach challenge of
Jack's eighteen major championships; and the fact that Tiger Woods does not know the meaning of 'quit'.
Just do it . . .
