Ted Fort, recently named the 2006 North Georgia Chapter and Georgia Section PGA Teacher of the Year, received his award on October 30, 2006, at Idle Hour CC in Macon, Georgia. Ironically, as Ted noted in his acceptance speech while holding aloft his copy of
The Golfing Machine, it was in this very room on February 14, 1983, while addressing the Georgia PGA, that
Homer Kelley died at the age of 75. Sometimes, truth is stranger than fiction.
