Alignments w/ Davis Love

Anyone else notice the short video clip at the PGA Championship website by DL. He talks about the importance of alignments and how 75% of his work off the course is on alignments. If his basic alignments are off he cannot achieve/maintain the geometry of the circle & the optimum angle of attack into the ball, thru impact and after impact. I thought it was cool to see someone at his level stressing the importance of alignments:)

Stood right behind Davis for a half hour Wednesday (at the 2009 PGA) as he worked with Jack Lumpkin, his coach and Sea Island, Georgia / Golf Digest, legend. Anybody got a link to hg's clip?

P.S. In 1973, I was admitted to membership at Atlanta CC, then as now, an exclusive golf club. I was 25 years old; a four-year miltiary vet; Georgia Tech graduate; and, now, the youngest member of the club. Davis Love, Jr. was our professional, and his son, 'Trip', ran 'round the grounds and dominated the Junior Golf program. What a privileged time! Who could have known the destinies in wait?

P.P.S. When I'm back in Atlanta and ACC, I'll post a photo in this thread of DL III (and his PGA Championship trophy) that hangs in our lobby.

It's something I focus on a lot as well. I have 20/20 vision in both eyes, but I'm right handed with a left eye dominant. The past week I had been struggling and found that my body address alignments were open to the target. After aiming a little more to the right with my body, still struggled with a push/fade. I then realized as I aimed my body a little more to the right to correct my problem, I was also starting to aim my clubface to the right at address and that was causing an open face at impact. Changed that around and just hit 12/13 fairways and hit 15 GIR's (hit the last 10 GIR).

I have a friend that is good friends with the Nicklaus family and according to him, Jack told him once that every single time he goes to the range, he puts a club down by his feet to help with his address alignments. So if it's good enough for the guy with the most majors ever and who went to 40+ US Opens in a row, then it should be good for just about anybody to work on.
