Standard hip action
I am asking if there are any drills for ingraining standard hip action.
I feel I can do the turn but I have difficulty also including the slide When/How much etc etc I am certain that I have almost a reverse slide ( backswing hips moving forward, downswing moving backward) in both directions which seriously affects low point :eyes: Any drills on this would be appreciated |

get you a dowel or one of them driveway sticks stick it in the ground just a few inches outside your left foot. Hit balls and make sure you hip slide to it. You may want to play with where you place it and how you angle it. You can put it more toward the plane line and angle it like the inclined plane. so you kinda get a double visual of the plane angle and where you need to feel like your hips are sliding to. |
Thank you for the advice, I should of worked out the wall one and sure enough when I try it I slid to the left on my backswing pivot. When I do this without a club (This is gonna sound a bit Brokeback Mountain) by the time I get to the first parallel at hip high my left knee has been pulled across and the foot has rolled in and the heel pulled off the ground. It is difficult to keep my right ass cheeek in the same place.
Looks like my hip pivot is terrible. :sad2: Thanks again :salut: |

Don't stop there, though. The rest have value also. |
