Hi Air, and thanks for checking in. Still here and kickin' big time. Only 66 posts in the last 30 days! http://lynnblakegolf.com/forum/searc...earchid=528146

After hitting the recent 9,000 post mark, maybe I just decided to sit and stare and rock!

:laughing9

Naah . . .

No problemo on my end: I'm teaching at Cuscowilla from early AM to dusk every day. The nights are full, too, with people and events I could not script (including my wife and, on occasion, my daughter, son-in-law -- "bought boat will travel" -- and five grandkids!).

:)

Also, I've been heavily involved in the logistics of bringing my team of five Lynn Blake Certified Master Professionals to Plainfield CC (NJ) this August (our sixth year) for The Barclays, an $8,000,000 PGA TOUR event and the first in the FeEdExCup Series. This includes working with Barclays project managers to design the ideal floor plan of our dedicated The Barclays Golf Academy pavilion directly off the 18th green.

http://thebarclays.barclaysgolf.com/

Not to mention a terrific amount of teaching, curriculums design, and admin re my Lynn Blake Certified Instructor program. Plus my upcoming Pro Instructor training next week in NJ. And, the following Monday at Memphis with Grant Robbins, U of M men's golf coach, and his selected participants.

Then, with Brian Gay and his caddie Kip Henley Tuesday-Wednesday, both playing in the Memphis St. Jude on the PGA TOUR. Kip, a Class 'A' Tennessee Section PGA professional, took a week off the bag before the PGA Championship at Whistling Straits, shot 10-under-par, and won the 2010 Tennessee PGA Section Championship. Hence, his exemption into the Memphis St. Jude.

There's a story here.

Player and Caddie.

Mano a mano.

Can't make it up.

Always, Air, you are in my thoughts. You are the quintessential, high-handicap amateur who always thought himself doomed to a low golf life . . . one, let's say, 'less lived by'.

Then comes you and me.

We've got this thing by the neck, Air. Now, lets just choke it to death!

Twenty-three hours separate us on the lesson tee, but . . .

Alignments are forever!

Talk soon!

:salut:

Kip and Brian no way? Yoda how will you divide your time on the hill?

What a story! I wonder if this has ever happened before? There are some interesting "what if's". Wish I could hear the trash talking.

drewitgolf 05-26-2011 02:37 PM

A Double Take

Maybe Yoda can carry doubles?

O.B.Left 05-26-2011 08:19 PM

Those are some good lessons from Yoda. Next Kips caddy will go 10 under. Then his caddy etc.

I hope Kip shocks the world in Memphis. That for the second time in fifty years a man in Memphis rocks and is king.

innercityteacher 05-26-2011 09:37 PM

Too cool for school!

That's 0,13 posts per day the last 16 days and counting...That's not like you.

I'm glad you are busy and giving your students your full attention, but I think I speak for us all when I say that we miss your daily (4) posts on the forum. But at least we have a 9000 pluss treasure to explore..:salut:

You gotta understand, Air, that Yoda (almost) has posted everything he is able to put down in words already - at least in this forum format. Maybe that's not true but that's how it looks to me anyway.

The volume he has produced over the years with serious content is massively impressive and I figure he feels like any "new" question that pops up today is some variation of a question he has spent a lot of time and effort into on several occasions earlier.

To produce a response that lives up to his usual standards probably takes a lot of time even though it seems like he can quote the ins and out of every TGM edition in his sleep.

Nice observation, BerntR

I could've spent not just 4 days with Yoda, but 30 days just absorbing the subtleties of the golf stroke and his insights. His posts, within the framework of TGM all reinforce the essential observation that the golf swing is logical and easily described by those who think carefully. :golf: Lynn's posts are amazing.

I understand that there is hardly anything new to say... Maybe we need new questions as well..? I didn't actually start this thread - I only sent a privat message. But now it is a thread and the activity here on the forum is much lower. The more success he has as a teacher, the less time remains for office work. He can't be two places at once... And in all honesty: there is a life outside golf as well...

But there has (unfortunately) been a huge difference the last 2 months - especially the last month.

I almost feel like my reprint posts are keeping Yoda alive (on the forum).

I know its confusing and I hope Im not speaking out of turn here, but sometimes Yoda is in Cuscowilla while Lynn Blake is on the road , in New Jersey say or vice versa. Did Yoda or Lynn ever tell you guys about the time he and Homer met Nikola Tesla?

And I thought non planar was weird! How bout two planes at the same time? Or two non planes at the same time? After you wrap your head around that one move on to Luke and Ted Fort.......where are those two guys at these days? One uses the ARc and the other uses the Angle of Approach.....both while Hitting. At the same time. Matter and anti matter together. No wonder he(s) hits it 360.

I was in a three ball with gnome and Jeff Hull once. Golfgnome can nuke it too. Jeff aint exactly short off the tee either. Very similar games.

My friend I disagree and I agree!

I grew up Air, in a family restaurant and holidays were our toughest days. We had Christmas and we worked Christmas and it was tough. Lynn has seasons like we all do unless we are retired. Lynn is not retired, that boy is busy and he does teach and monitor online. This is a free site and you and I and others volunteer to slightly help Lynn push the rock of ignorance up the hill. This takes time from us but it is refreshing for me and helps me enjoy my daily grind tremendously.

We all multi-task! As a matter of fact, while writing this missive, I am watching the French Open, Nadal won, and instant messaging two hot chicks online, while sending emails to two 29 year girls telling them to get a life. And I am listening to Sam Snead explain via You Tube , why I need to take my damn right thumb off the club! I am also participating in my 30th college reunion on Facebook since I have to work on Monday.

You sound kind of busy too. :eyes:

Lynn's "gettin" er done!

Quick update on our fearless leader. Spoke to Lynn last nite (via text). Listen to this week:

Sunday - traveled to Memphis
Monday - On the tee at U of M teaching center for 11 hours. 100 degrees in
Memphis!
Tuesday (today) - out at St. Jude's Classic. Fly home late tonight!
Wednesday - On the tee at Cuscowilla all day for the next five days straight!!

I don't know how he does it! In between all that, he's working on setting up instructional certification programs, talking to me and God knows who else,
fitting time in for Mrs. Yoda and the grandchildren...he's a busy man!

Lynn says he'll be back online soon - fear not!

KevCarter 06-07-2011 10:54 AM

Thanks for the update FLADAN. In the meantime, the wonderful threads Air and ICT are finding should keep us all busy! :) :salut:

Absent, but not without leave

No Lynn is not AWOl. I talked to him today, he has tons of photos and some videos that he will be posting soon. It will be worth the wait. Stay tuned!

drewitgolf 06-14-2011 07:11 PM

"Open" for business

Did anyone catch Lynn and Brian Gay on the Golf Channel today around noontime? TGC was showing "Live from the U.S. Open" and the camaras zoomed in on the boys watching videos on their camara.
