PGA Championship

Here are the Top Ten Favorites. Is the winner among these?

GPStyles 08-10-2009 08:14 AM

where are they?!!

Anyway, it'll include Paddy and Tiger and I can see both being in the mix come next Sunday.

I think Paddy has a great chance, he was awesome last week apart from one hole.

garagefan66 08-10-2009 08:52 AM

Paddy. His game looks to be back and he's tough as nails. Only took a year to get a flat left wrist.

Goose . . . . .. .

What has happened to him the last couple months, I ask that without any knowledge or sarcasm?

As much as I would like to add his name, the names came from the list used in Vegas.

Good pick. Same with Goosen. Lot of guys playing well right now.

EdZ 08-10-2009 08:03 PM

Brian would be my first bet! If not him, Steve Stricker.

He's got the game and the drive to get it done and is in good form.

Wonderful alignments.

More top tens than anyone but Tiger this year (8 of 17).

Brian had a nice showing last year at the PGA as well . . . . he was in the mix pretty late . . . . like his chances . . . and will be rooting hard.

I remember reading that he has had some back issues. Lynn?

dcg1952 08-11-2009 10:34 AM

Hoping Brian gay wins, but Cabrera is VERY VERY long, and this is a long course.

Daryl 08-13-2009 11:26 PM

What's up with John Daley. He acts as though he doesn't care. Missing (2) 2-foot-putts.

GPStyles 08-14-2009 09:06 AM

Daly withdrew. Jeez, its hard to support that guy when you see how he played the last few holes. He is an embarrassment to his ability.

Bad luck BG, I imagine the injuries must still be hurting - a great season by anyones standards but by the middle of May it looked like being so much more.

O.B.Left 08-14-2009 10:45 AM

What is the swing change Paddy is working on? Anybody know?

garagefan66 08-14-2009 11:26 AM

Flw

Flat left wrist at impact.

hg 08-14-2009 11:30 AM

Have you been to his website...he talks about it there...goggle his name and it will point you to his website

garagefan66 08-14-2009 12:00 PM

I went to his site. He talks about creating leverage with his body but I remember him being interviewed recently where he said that he used to flip the club with his hands and now he tries to get here (then demonstrates a flat left wrist).

Go Angel!

Cabrera off to a ripping 4 under start!

Congratulations WANG

Drive for show, Putt for Dough.

GPStyles 08-17-2009 07:18 AM

what a great spectacle that was. I was so expecting them all to fade away. Well done Y E for hanging in there. Big day for male Korean golf!

Y. E. can drive it, too. On Sunday of the WGC at Firestone, he was one of only two players to reach the 626-yard 16th hole in two.

No matter how good a wedge player you are, the putt is the preferred third shot on par 5s.

:)

garagefan66 08-17-2009 12:43 PM

Love Tiger but....

It was great to see somebody stand up to Tiger and stick it to the smug analysts and commentators. GREAT for golf. Congrats to Y.E.!

8,000 reasons.

Scene: 2005 and Tiger's Magical Masters . . .

As the ball hangs on the lip of the 16th hole, then falls, Verne Lundquist makes the call:

"Oh, WOW! In your LIFE have you ever seen anything like that!"

And again in 1996 when Jack Nicklaus dropped his putt on 17:

"Maybe...YES SIR!"

On some planet far away . . .

That is how I feel about the collective efforts -- yours and ours -- on this site. There is no way one can start down the path that is LynnBlakeGolf.com and know (or even dream) you will be here.

But, with the help of Bagger and Bambam -- that dynamic duo whose indefatiguable background efforts have made LBG possible -- and you, the most loyal, knowledgeable posting crew in cyber-golf, it has happened.

I am as surprised -- and delighted -- as anybody. Thanks guys!

:salut:

Now . . .

Let's get started!

And Thank You to LB, Bam Bam and Bagger for this wonderful venue. People and their opinions are consistently treated respectfully in LBG Forums. It must take a lot of work and constant attention to detail to keep this as classy as it is.
Having had the opportunity to meet Lynn last week and gladly spending the day with Alignment Golf, I understand from where all of this derives.

You're a wonder, Mr Blake.
