Yoda and VJ?

Any news on the availability of Yoda and VJ's instructional film for downloading at the premium Gallery? The previews look very enticing.

The videos will be available soon, but as a DVD Series, not as a Premium Download.

This project has been a long time coming: We shot the video two years ago (it's still fresh as a daisy!); edited it last year; and we've got a firm putting the finishing touches on the graphics and packaging now. We hope to begin shipping within the next six weeks (and, ideally, sooner).

SO there will be no paypal download verson? :crybaby:

Yes, but only in a standard U.S. DVD player format. Appropriate shipping fees will apply.

Will do, GP. The DVDs are completed. I'm finalizing the packaging and graphics now. Shouldn't be much longer now.

None planned at the moment.

:(

GPStyles 06-11-2008 09:03 AM

I think the TGM revolution is picking up speed in the UK. It'd be great if you were able to make it some time.

Just think how much fun you'd have on the links of Great Britain and Ireland. HK himself (RIP) would surely see that as the ultimate testing ground of anyone's swing!

Hopefully at some stage your schedule will permit a clinic here in the UK, until then I'll eagerly await the DVD's!

Will the announcement of general release be made here or in the 'Pro-Shop' section?

Ease up Okie old son! :nono:

We already pay in Pounds Sterling what you guys pay in US$ - roughly twice as much! (Can't speak for GPStyles as they use funny money where he comes from.:) )

It doesn't take a genius to "do the math", as you guys put it, to see who is getting "a real bang for their bucks". :(

Still want one though.
Hmmmm... Does SwampBank have an easy payments plan; reduced rates for seniors, maybe?

Burner,

My friend . . .

Please.

As I read your post, you've got it backwards!

Have you looked at exchange rates lately?

:laughing9

The dollar ain't exactly hitting new highs against the Pound! In fact, late last year, it reached a 26-year-low.

And today it takes a full buck-and-a-half U.S. to buy one, once-lowly Euro. A far cry from the not-so-long-ago when the dollar bought a Euro and had change left over!

:crybaby:

So, today, we have this: 50 Pounds Sterling = 97.81 U.S. Dollars.

With my absolute arithmetic, you will be getting my stuff for half price!

And that's the way the world is working right now.

You're happy.

We're happy!

:salut:

I think.

Has that ever happened???

I thought the idea of the Euro was to always be over dollar:laughing9 .......

Now to me it is a rip off any way we do it:crybaby: :confused1

I am still not happy though.:(

I agree that it is in my interest to purchase US goods at current exchange rates. However, that was not the point I (so clumsily, it appears) was trying to make. Nor, was I angling for LBG products on the cheap; far from it as we have so much priceless stuff here for free already.

Okie said to charge "us" more. I said (not too cleverly, backwards even, it seems) that we already pay considerably more more on like for like goods - e.g

Nissan Murano 4x4 = $26330 basic US price.
Nissan Murano 4x4 = £30190 basic UK price - and that = $58750

Gas to run the thing on = $4.40 per gallon in CA, the most expensive State in the US.

Gas to run the thing on = £6.08, national UK average, and that = $11.84

See what I am saying......................and why?

Javier,

We would have said "nei" to Europe also if we had been given the chance.

finster869 06-12-2008 08:21 PM

Can't wait for the DVD to be released....please add me to the list as well!

Socialism tends to do that!:naughty: Bureacracy is never cheap! Of course my comment was tongue in cheek, but the plight of the ailing and once great dollar is not that funny. I will start bartering poultry (Bucket?) before I use the "Amero." How are those gas futures?

Socialism has not fixed these prices, nor has Bureaucracy intervened. Nissan fixes the asking price for their products same as the oil cartels are fixing things for themselves.:naughty:

I would be happy to pay what you guys pay for this stuff but I am not given the opportunity to do so.:crybaby:

GPStyles 06-14-2008 07:08 PM

I reckon you're wrong on this one burner.

Yoda will have an in-store price in dollars. The only difference to us will be the shipping costs.

I trust the DVD will be import tax exempt LB!

GPStyles 06-26-2008 05:22 PM

what's the latest on completiton Yoda?

Will there be a section on the finish swivel? This is my big bug-bear area at the moment - if there is a good section on it on the site somewhere I'd appreciate a link.

Seems that I am not making my point to well: so, for the record.

Its not the price that Yoda will be fixing for his dvd as that will be a cross continent constant; unlike the examples of cross continent differences in the items I have cited.

I do not have a beef with Yoda. My beef is with the Company's that think we should pay twice as much, and more, over here than we would for the same goods purchased in the States.

All LBG products are priced in USDs. Due to the abysmal performance of the dollar versus most international currencies in recent months/years, that pricing will prove to be beneficial to most foreign customers.

Yoda,
It might be worthwhile to have a thread where readers can voice their interest so that your first production run doesn't fall short of initial orders. I for one will be ordering as soon as possible.

Thanks, Scott. We plan on a significant first run to capture economies of scale, so I don't think production will be a problem.

I do think that a new password-protected thread to discuss the content would add value to those purchase the DVDs and would be a positive addition to the site. I'll get with Bagger and Bambam and see if we can't make that happen!

We will ship internationally and charge only for the extra postage. Does your DVD player play standard U.S. DVDs?

golfguru 07-08-2008 09:28 AM

Unless you have an unlocked DVD player the NTSE will not play on PAL DVD players, nor on PC dvd players that have Regional Codes locked up. Even my Mac has 'learned' its regional code after only 4 dvd plays. Its a pain in the rear that we can blame the movie houses for.

You will have to rip the DVD and compress to a new format but that is not a good copywrite thing to do:)
