Revisiting Sequenced release!
http://www.lynnblakegolf.com/forum/s...nswing+pl ane
This thread has some fascinating stuff by Mathew and others... especially explaining what Hogan felt in "Modern Fundamentals" about his downswing plane going out to right field... Anybody had any more thoughts about this? It seems that a FLW is guaranteed for a swinger if you just uncock on plane and let the roll happen? FLW "occurs" rather has to be held rigidly? DOes that sound right? Thanks for your thoughts |

Fully uncocked
How to avoid fully uncocked of the left wrist before impact?

"Cause" and "Effect"

If Obeyed (on-planed swing), the "Law" does everything (the "effect") for you. The "cause" is "Sustain the Lag" and the "effects" are the "Imperatives" and "Essentials" and all the rest of good stuff. |

I always struggled to see why the left forearm should rotate at "left wrist level" position rather than uncocked... but i can just about believe it if the level position represents the longest the left arm gets to... then the force of clubhead can't stretch it any further so it just rotates... Not a great explaination, i know, but just trying to convince myself of why it works... But work it really does seem to do... so fast through impact and it actually makes it easy to stop the hands at "follow through"... someting i always found hard to do when i was holding( with active and conscious muscle power) the left wrist flat...:golf: |

Since trying to left wrist non-automatic random / snap release i have , without really thinking about it, also changed to a more standard wrist action! |

Is this corrrect? I thought the, 1- Base Line (Plane Line of the Incline) 2-Stance Line (feet) and 3-Target Line (Line of Flight of the Ball), had variations – Open, Parallel, or Closed to each other depending on the shot and its intersection being ball position. You always swing along the Plane Line (Base), these combinations of Lines ( The Guide Line- 10-5) are set and should not be bent by a change of direction of Delivery during the Stroke. The ball will release along the Target Line- 90 degrees off the clubface. Best example is how you play a greenside bunker shot with three different directions of plane lines. |
Nothing gets by Mikey!
Per 1-L-19, Stance Line, Plane Line and Flight Line are Normally Parallel. The key word being "normally". Most of us are not normal :golfing_banana: .
