"Summing up the Right Arm action-it is always a straight line effort and/or motion and normally is strictly clubhead control".

How does this square with a circle or arc type delivery path?

Are thrust direction and delivery path different?

I've never looked at the swing in terms of an endless belt as pictured in the delivery path photos so this is puzzling.

Yes, Thrust direction and the path that the hands make on the plane are two different things. Likewise, the Thrust direction and the path the clubhead makes are two different things.

One example in regards to the Clubhead path- or "Delivery Line" - is at low point normally the right elbow is still bent. As the clubhead moves up and in after low point, the thrust continues down towards the plane line until both arms straight.

One example in regards to the Hands path- or "Delivery Path" - is his quote in the 6th edition page 83 the last sentence in section 1- "The Hands must ALWAYS take one of the Delivery Paths (10-23) but even with the Circle Path, the Thrust is still a straightline EFFORT toward the Aiming Point. And even "Tracing" (5-0) must not disrupt it.

I don't have the 7th edition in front of me- but I'm assuming that A) the quote you used is from the 7th edition? and I'd guess that B) It may have been added to or replaced part of the section that I quoted from the 6th edition.

Section 7-23 has some information that might help you on this also.

Where is thrust generated from?, or is there a focus area on the body that I can deliver to aiming point? I feel like I'm swinging but I haven't developed a stroke pattern yet.

Full swing - ideally the pivot, however, also ideally monitored through pp#3 (answers your second question).

In otherwards, as the pivot unwinds (after the top) and the right shoulder moves towards the target, the hands then take the transference (is that a word?) and the shaft bends, placing pressure on (again ideally) your right forefinger.

Maintain that thrust...and direct it - to an aiming point - in front of, behind, whatever (trial and error) towards the planeline (or delivery line)....

And wallah!

Thanks for the reply. I'm having trouble using PP3 to do anything really, right now I'm focused more on the "pull" feeling or rope handle toward the plane line, when I focus on PP3 I just get screwed up. Is there any issue with this?

On aiming point, I realize that its variable due to club length and hand speed etc, but I was looking for forum examples of what people are using to aim with and at i.e. aim PP3 to 2 inches behind with the driver,, again understanding that its variable.

Last question (for this post :) ) Visually speaking (line of sight to the aiming point), is the sweet spot the only thing that passes through the aiming point?

One final thought- regarding ANY Golfing Machine discussion. You're trying to take your hand to the coffee cup i.e. you're trying to take your hands up and down a certain plane- up and down at a certain angle (regardless if there are things that create plane angle shifts). I wouldnt get too caught up on PP#3 - if you do not sense it now, perhaps in the future you will. In the meantime, drive the hands downplane - thats down plane. Down Plane.

And if that doesnt work, then perhaps Aiming Point is something to focus on.

Thanks for the ramblings-I do intend to incubate these with plans on improving the motion. I'm happy to hear about the PP3 scenario, seemed like that was the key to success from alot of post I've read.

I understand that the sweet spot can pass through the aiming point with only one club- the aming point lies on the plane line and the sweet spot aims at it.

BTW, maybe I'm with Bucket on this-Flying Wedges, Aiming point, FLW, these are all thing I'm trying to make happen (cuz they weren't previously). I feel like I'm constantly making corrections.
