Heres a picture of Lynn I made from the film achieving a perfect Turned Shoulder Plane with Zero Shift.



Notice that the Plane Angle goes through the Sweet Spot, the #3 Pressure Point and the Tip of the Turned Right Shoulder at the Top. The #3 Pressure Point is ALWAYS on this Plane while the Right Shoulder Turns back to it on the Backstroke and then Turns Down it on the Downstroke.

My recommendation is to avoid direct links to the subdirectories in the gallery and just go directly there. There are redirects and various administrative stuff that happens in those directories that make linking less reliable then just letting your fingers do the walking over to the Gallery room. Grab some popcorn, drinks, and twizzlers before stepping in. Grab a good seat and enjoy the videos.

HOOAH! Thats cool Mathew, thanks. Would you say that, at the Top, the plane is closer to going through the middle of the shoulder rather than the tip? If my eyes deceive and it is the tip, how far should we get into the Downstroke before it's ok for the tip of the shoulder to move above the plane? Is it a gradual move, I mean, is the turn always slightly flatter? (threadjack, my bad :( )

You meant it when you said perfect, right? [-o< Because if you did, and it is, I can adjust what I thought it took for the shoulder to be on the TSP at impact, and put my doubts/confusion to rest :)

Is it the shaft, or the sweetspot that should be on the plane? I thought it was the shaft and that the dowels play the role of the shaft in these drills. Mathew, are you saying that the dowel represents the invisible sweetspot plane? In the book, the lines representing plane angles go through the hosel... ahh I'm confused. When most experienced TGM'ers talk about plane, are they actually referring to the sweetpot plane?
