Basic Motion

SD, when you master the Basic and Acquired Motions shown in many tapes, you are learning the Total Motion you seek.

I have been studying TGM here with Lynn and my many friends, and they are all generous thoughtful people based on my experience, for one year and a little.

In Basic Motion, all the needed components and procedures of effective GOLF can be practiced.

You are learning how to put together a ten million piece jigsaw puzzle based on your gifts and sensitivities. Look at the Basic Motion videos and search that term in our forums. Then, ask specific questions and we will try to answer.

Please keep in mind that the Summer is prime earning time for the PGA and LPGA pros on our site so they are busy. Kevin Carter, for example, gave at least 9 lessons today. This is their prime time, but they will answer owing to their passion for correct GOLF instruction and the joy they have is seeing hacks like me improve. :) I will answer using the pros quotes or my limited experience which I will clearly designate. During the day, I can write but not see film posted due to district filters.

Air will quote strings from the forum most often that you can study. Keep in mind, he has seen Lynn twice recently. Daryl, OB Left, Bam-Bam, Yodas LUke, Golf Gnome, Mike O, Drewit Golf, 12 Piece Bucket, BerntR, Hungry Bear, KevCarter and JerryG and Delaware Golf, are all seriously talented passionate golfers. They will not knowingly mislead you!

Thanks. I am getting there, have viewed the Alignment Golf DVD's many times, have read many of the threads on this forum, and have viewed most of the free videos on here multiple times as well. Have ordered the Golf Machine book, but it hasn't arrived yet. Have a pretty good understanding of basic motion from the DVD's, but the Alignment golf DVD set is lacking in its description of some things like the pre-impact swivel (but I have picked up some things from reading the forum, seeing some video's, etc...). Mr. Kelley's book is on the way, I think that should help me clear up a few concepts.

Don't get your hopes up too much with regards to the book. It's a hard read. But maybe you are both smart and persistent. Then you got a (slim) chance.:confused1

No Kidding! Practice this until you really get it and add the Basic Motion then Acquired Motion. SD, if you truly understand these videos, you can shoot in the high 70's with a short game.

I am wondering if anyone knows of a link to any video which demonstrates the proper procedure for the setup as described in 2-J-1. I am particularly interested in the section about "A geometrically proper procedure to establish the correct radius with the Clubhead raised to the desired Impact relationship, and then the discussion about soling the club with Extensor Action.

I would like to start off by saying that you absolutely have to purchase and watch plenty of times alignment golf. You also should purchase and practice with the taly. I really am having excellent results with impact especially the way I am hitting and compressing the ball. The takeaway with the right forearm is so huge I cannot even begin to tell you. Also the awareness of pressure point number 3 its also very significant.

My main problem right no, which I am trying to figure out why it happening, is that I am hitting the ball very solid but I am mostly missing left. If you look at the divot that I am making on the ground they are absolutely perfect. They are just left of my targets.

Any ideas on what I should be looking at in terms of maybe taking it too far inside or otherwise.

You might be hitting the back of the ball instead of the inside, so that the face is pointed slightly left of the target at separation. It might be as simple as very slightly opening the face at address.

What's the ball flight?

Or outside in with a double-cross?
