My thanks to JR for that easter egg on "forward press"......never thought of it in that way, having learned golf in the golden era of the "Hands Only" Forward Press.

Great post again O.B. If I may add one note.

This first few feet of Hand travel in Startup which J.R. describes, a travel motivated, produce solely by the Hips clearing from their Fix position: Some would might say "Ah, but surely that's Pivot to Hands".

To which I would say; "Not necessarily, Buster. IF you're Tracing, with your mind in your Hands .....its still Hands to Pivot".
The same deal happens in Startdown when the Pivot takes the Hands Down the Inclined Plane for the first wee bit. The Pivot may be driving the car but the Hands are back seat driving, directing.

The post count at 2700 plus was proof enough that you're "mental"
however responding to your own post via 3rd person - truly genius!

I did truly enjoy the videos from the swamp. I am not sure Lynn is feeling 100%. I have no reason to say this except its a feeling I got while watching. Being tired is one thing, to me this is different. Air you are working hard to succeed and I applaud your efforts.Let me share with you this, do what Lynn tells you, no need to listen to others.I am sure you will get all info needed from Lynn. Good Luck

Thanks for your concern, OverPar. I sincerely appreciate it. And, you are right: actually . . .

I'm feeling more like 110 percent.

Here's a photo from the Joe Gransden gig last night at Cuscowilla. Other than a little too much time in the sun (an occupational hazard), 25 extra pounds of belly fat, and the worst haircut of my life last week, I'm approaching my 65th birthday in pretty good shape. A stress test last year elicited the word "remarkable" from my world-class cardio doc.

That's my wife, Carol, to my right, and sister, Darby, to my left. Brother-in-law John rounds out the foursome. There are 258 years represented there, and we're all still kickin'! (Maybe not as high as before, but kickin' nonetheless!)

I think there now is some confusion about what starts the backstroke (start up) - is it the right hand/right forearm or is it the hip (in a right-left foot action in a coordinated way)? Maybe this needs some more clearing up? :dontknow:

I've added commentary preceding the video that should clear things up. Also added analysis to the three photos of John's swing.

Lynn, is being modest, as per d'habitude. I was the guy needing to stretch daily. I was the guy who's back was sore after 20 minutes of putting. I wish my fitness was at Lynn's level!!!!! :laughing9

Lynn interacts with his students. I move with a decided limp and Lynn was very patient with me as I tried to keep up with the gold that falls from his lips every second. Perhaps, OP, you are familiar with how people subconsciously change their cadence and movements when they are with someone with an obvious injury. Well, sometimes when I purpose to step forwards, I actually move sideways!

The kids at school know I injured myself wrestling King-Kong, and KK lost!!!! :)

Hi OB. I wonder if your ears and Daryl's, Kev's, Ben's, Jerry's and the whole forum were buzzing as Lynn would give detailed stories about his affection for all the people who contribute here? Lynn is tremendously aware of posts each night and we discussed many threads each day of my time with him.

Lynn showed me, OB, early on the first day, the essential need to LAG back and though TRACING WITH INTENTIONALITY!!! PIvot power and "Educated Hands!"
