"Pulley" size
How is the size of the pulley determined?
Given that: Large pulley requires fast hands, small pulley less hand speed. BUT although large pulley requires high hand speed the small pulley requires LARGE force to prevent deceleration of the hands. I see many who try for MAX delay (small pulley) an although it may look good is a "snap-throw" action which slows the hands. count frame distence of hands with slo-mo pictures. Aiming point is a setting determined by pulley size but is a reaction too not the cause of pulley size. Anyway- how may I determine/select the "best" pulley size??? ALSO; I believe that the radius must be AT LEAST the length of the right forearm ( fanning right forearm) or the RFFW can not be preserved and the wrist must cock and the minimum radius produces a swing with the elbow as center. EDIT FOLLOWS: OK- I AM GOING TO TAKE AS "STAB" AT ANSWERING. There is no selection of pulley size available EXCEPT with compensations. You get the pulley size that is produced by your swing/hit and any artificial attempt to adjust it WITHOUT major reconstruction can be disasterous. SO, I will no longer look at this as a product of the swing and not an objective or inclusion. Please tell me if you see that I am wrong. |
