This is a wonderful thread for all of us. A real treat. And it would be even greater if all of you could 'hear' what I'm 'hearing' . . .
The unique voices of the participants. I know these guys, and when I read their posts -- the laconic Daryl, the 'south in yo mouth' Bucket and the professorial Mike O -- I hear them. And it is an absolute hoot! :eyes: I last saw Daryl at Paiute in Vegas; Bucket at Falcon's Fire in Orlando; and Mike O at PGA of Southern California in Beaumont. I miss them -- and the many more 'voices' of LBG -- and am now determined to make some sort of LBG Reunion / Invitational happen. It's time! |

But Mike O professorial? If Hannibal Lecter and Mr. Furley had a baby . . . it would be one Mike Oberstanker |
Wood and Coal,
I will leave chapter and verse to those better able, but I can tell you that you are about to have a lot of chirping going on! This is HUGE! Unless you have the hand speed of say...a teenaged Bucket...your hands better not move in a circle delivery path. Circle delivery path requires faster hand speed. The primary and secondary levers will find what they like most...an in line relationship. How do you prevent a premature alignment? 10-23-A is Homer's solution, a straight line delivery path. A smaller pulley wheel = surprising speed e.g. Sergio G. One of the benefits is that you do not have to increase your belt speed (hand speed) to utilize the endless belt effect. The club whips around the corner as it were at the same RPM as the belt, but with increased MPH. Yoda references the disappearing ducks we see at State fairs. Something for nothing as it were. Funny that attempting to speed your hands can throw everything off. It has to do with concentric circles. There are some good graphics on this site illustrating the endless belt effect. Look em' up. Don't let this one go...stick with it! I rank my realizations in this order. Top 5 anyway! 1. Flying Wedges 2. Hinge Action 3. Tracing a straight plane line 4. Straight line delivery 5. The alignments of the 10-2-B grip good luck |

Another point . . . with a small pulley like Sergio . . . you can have a slower handspeed . . . not only that YOU DON'T WANT (by definition) FAST HAND SPEED because what? . . . OVER-ACCELERATION is . . . come on everybody . . . say it with me . . . |

How did Neil get in this? Next thing you know y'all'll be talkin' about asking Ted to come. I roomed with that fool last time . . . it was like living with George the Animal Steel. ![]() If Mike O, Neil, and Ted make the trip we won't have enough cash to pay all the bail money . . . Ted beat up the bell hop because the ran out of dougnuts and "didn't have no biscuits." Complimentary!!!!!!!! much less the excess charges on fire insurance at the motel . . . Don't go there. I know your thinking . . . "well surely Mike will sleep in his van." But Mike knows how to set swimming pools on fire. In the immortal words of New Edition . . . Count me out!!!!! |

Unfortunately . . . . . and by the way . . . that whole accent thing . . . FAKER than Pam Anderson's . . . that's all an act to pick up chicks waddling out of Jenny Craig (not that there's anything at all wrong with that). He cranked that accent deal up and told me "you gotta cut the vulnerable ones outta the herd." Whatever works . . . I've found it's a whole lot easier just to rip open a bag of cheetoz and yell . . . "Hey baby! You want some of this???" |
