ESPN Coverage

I'm glad to see ESPN's Chris Berman mentioned Larry Nelson's victory at Oakmont in 1983. :)

Nelson could buy a small country with the money Tiger or Furyk would pay him for his 60 footer on 16, which he hit with a four wood the night before and waited a day to putt that monster. Great golfer, look at his sequence in golf digest when he won most improved in 1979, great swing.

Still No Respect

Larry Nelson and his son, Josh, yesterday won the Del Webb Father-Son Challenge. Son Drew, with whom Larry won the same championship in 2002, was on the bag. Talk about your made-in-heaven photo op!

Alas, t'was not to be.

The photo accompanying the victory article on the pgatour.com website?

Bob Tway and his son, Kevin.

And so it goes!

War Veteran

We should not forget that Larry served the USA in the Vietnam war before taking up golf. A true champion on and off the golf course!

What could Larry Nelson have done to be subjected to such ignorance?
