But you cant overlay a perfect circle on to his Hand Path if he's shifting planes. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1NeizRf3JZY Plot the Hands Path here in this video through 3D space and you'll see what Henry Cotton referred to as "My Picasso". Beautiful curves but not suitable for covering or as a guide line when you can merely use the ever constant Straight Line , Plane Line. See also DELIVERY PATHS 10-23-B ANGLED LINE. "This pattern is used with the Plane Angle Variations that include a shift to (or back to) the Elbow Plane during the Downstroke. From the Top-of -the-Straight-Line hand position the Hands take a nearly vertical path to the Plane of the Elbow Angle before they start their drive directly at and through the Aiming Point (2-J-3)" |
Fowlers left wrist is fully uncocked rigth after impact. Left arm and clubshaft is on the same plane basically. Combined with dual horizontal hinge a very quick swivel action into and past impact is needed. In theory almost infinitely quick. And together with it, a very quick and early overtaking is the only sensible consequence.
With a level impact left wrist and even a little wrist cock intact the overtaking will be much more gradual and this is the case with Hogan and Palmer. |

The guy swings On-Plane. |
On the swing I used - the Power Golf swing - we look almost straight down the target line. The clubshaft is parallel to, and above the impact shaft plane in the down stroke and follow thru. The shaft stays close to parallel throughout. At the same time it seems clear that his hand path is outside-in
On the 5 lessons swing we have a bit different perspective. We look at the swing from behind and from outside the target line. The hand path seems to be straight down our view line. Camera position seem to be very close to the hand path plane through impact. The clubhead seems to be close to on-plane after transition and through impact, but then it raises high above it. The hand path is however above the clubhead plane after transition and then moves below it at and just past impact. The down the line view in power golf seems to be more looking at the plane of the clubhead while the crossline view of the 5 lessons swing seem to be better aligned with the plane of his hand path. I don't think this boils down to planar circles. |

Its ratings week and Daryl and I are trying to "move the needle" with a good old fashioned dust up. You know like Jen and Angelina..............which is how this all started in the first place.............. Daryl wants to be Angelina but I shoty'd her first. |
I didn't start this. Bucket did.
|
Now where are the "mad viking smilies" when I need them. Guess I'll have to settle for this cindirella instead ....
:rambo: I think Daryl is close. The guy swings on plane.... almost. All his three planes are really close. :toothy1: |
