Thicker grip for hitting?
I just received a new set of jpx800pro irons with nippon 950 R. The mizuno grips are thicker under the right hand and being primarily a swinger, I've had a hard time adjusting. I have read that a thicker grip reduces hand action. So I had to consciously cock my left wrist when swinging to get decent strikes.

Is the cocking of the left wrist of a swinger different to that of a hitter? A hitter needs less wrist cock which would explain why I have had more success with hitting with thicker grips???

Trying to figure out whether I adjust to the grip when swinging or change the grips to the same tour velvet on my R7tp also fitted with nippon 950. I play to a 7hcp.

Thanks for any insights
