Hoganfan, Sounds like a chicken wing to me -bent left arm with no release swivel. The left arm rotates whilst the wrist is kept flat in relation to the forearm, the left wrist can cock ,uncock and roll ,but not bend.
If you go to the both arms straight position on the follow through, clubshaft roughly 45 degrees to the ground-on plane, the sole of the club would be pointing along the plane line with horizontal hinging. It is after this point when the left arm starts to bend -or fold through to the finish .IT IS NOT FOLDED ,IT FOLDS.The book says it is "carried -not thrown" .The left wrist is still flat as the momentum of the club causes the left wrist to re-cock [on plane]after the finish swivel.

Any clearer?
