Impact geometry for a straight shot
To hit it straight, during impact,

1. is it possible for the clubhead to move inward while going downward?

2. also, is it possible for it to move outward while going upward?

Thanks for the attention.

YOU load and sustain the "LAG", during which the "LAW" releases it, ideally beyond impact.
"Sustain (Yang/陽) the lag (Yin/陰)" is "the unification of Ying and Yang" (陰陽合一).
The "LAW" creates the "effect", which is the "motion" or "feel", with the "cause", which is the "intent" or "command".
"Lag" is the secret of golf, passion is the secret of life.
Think as a golfer, execute like a robot.
Rotate, twist, spin, turn.
Bend the shaft.

Are you asking if the club head is subject to centripetal, inward, force on the down swing and centrifugal, outward force on the up swing? Or, are you inviting a discussion on bent plane lines, D plane lines and such?

yes to both.

divots can point left and since low point is normally towards the front of the divot, you have a decending path pointing left of target line.

divots can also point right, but if we're trying to have an Ascending angle with a path going out, there were many angles maintained through the hitting area. not a bad drill for someone who loses the acc's early.
