To get the downstroke more from the inside - does it help to flatten the swing coming down or/and have the ball a little more back in the stance - or are there others things to work on that may help to get rid of this menace?

Air, a pre-turned right hip or a solid pivot will get the hip out of the way and then the hands will come down.

It is a little easier to hit the ball from the inside with ball back in stance. Key for hitting it from the inside is that hands are in front of the ball.

Further, it is a lot easier to learn to hit the ball from the inside with the ball back in the stance.

You also need a grip that is strong enough to match. So that the face squares by itself by the time of impact.

Thanks. I'll give it a try nd hope for the best.

You can start with short chip'n run, Air. Just try to keep them low to the ground, feel the club face close through impact and into the finish with a finish swivel towards horizontal hinge. Then you can add some power and distance gradually.

Sounds like a good idea. Thanks.

Endless belt effect

There are a lot of big deals in TGM - Imperatives and Essentials. In addition The Flying Wedges, Extensor Action etc..

How does the Endless belt fit in here? Is it also a big deal and something we have to work on or is it just a way of explaining what is going on in the swing?

Personal note:

I have been looking at older posts in my thread and I realized that many members here have contributed with a lot of important information to my many questions - people like Bernt, OB, Daryl, Kevin, ICT, Mike, Drew, Hungry Bear, Burner, Etzwane to mention some in addition to Yoda (from the time he wrote a lot of posts).

I'm now starting to collect them in a post of its own, so I can easier find back to them. To be honest I have already forgotten most of it. Too bad.

Many have tried to help me - but I seem to be immune to make use of all this valuable information. That also goes for my lessons with Yoda. I'm a "good" student when he is around, but I stink on my own. It seems like I am incapable to put a ton of information into a 1-2 sec golf swing. But I'm not giving up - I have to train myself to be more self disiplined and have greater awareness of what I'm doing (and not doing).

But I want to thank all the above mentioned (and those who I forgot to mention) for their patience and help. At least I can read it again (and again) and see if it makes more sense - and result in more change in what I'm doing - in the time/years to come...

I see it as a way to explain how things work but of course that provides an input for the instructor (expert G.O.L.F.er) to choose the right component. It could be a good image to keep in mind for the straight line Delivery Path.

Snap Release is defined as a Release that's triggered at the end of a <Line> Delivery Path. So it concerns where it's Released -- and it's not a specific point/location -- because the end of the Delivery can be thought of as an area with boundaries.

If you want to use Max Trigger Delay in a Snap Release (or a Random Sweep Release, but not a Full Sweep Release), you must be using an Automatic Release. Because if it's Non-Automatic, you're thinking about manually triggering the release, and hence you will not be releasing as late as you can be, i.e. not Max Trigger Delay.
What would this look like? You would see the location of release delayed until the very end of the end of Delivery Path area.

So if you want to use Min Trigger Delay in a Snap Release, you will need a Non-Automatic Release. What would this look like? You would see the location of release delayed until the beginning of the end of Delivery Path area. But it's still within the end of Delivery Path area which defines the Snap Release
.
[Above <Line> by Yoda. Circle Path permits no Snap Release.]

And there you have it.
