My take; When at Top you must have a firm set of intentions in mind and be fully prepared (Geometrically and Physically) to execute them ........ during Startdown, Downstroke , Release , Impact, Follow Through. This is the cure for "Downstroke Blackout".

You must be Aligned properly to carry out these intentions, in other words. If you want to Drag Load with the Right Shoulder , I like a TSP Angle. If you want to Throw the #2 angle out , on plane you'd better have #2 Loaded. If you want to Roll the #3 Angle , down the Line, Sequentially better not Trigger a Full Sweep Release by rolling your Right Palm off the underside of the Plane early in Startdown.....which is a common Steering thing. Etc etc.

How 'bout a grip type appropriate to your intended Lag Loading procedure. You pressure points loaded in accordance to your desired set of Accumulators and their firing order.

If all Alignments relate to your desired Impact Alignments best to have them all sorted out at Top.

You kind of prepare - in your mind - what you are about to do, and then do it in the startdown? :golf:

Air, you just went by Mike O's total post count. Keep going while I have him in isolation. Get as far away from him as you can.

Yup. Although Homer would be more resolute no doubt.

Or how about: At Top you MUST be fully Prepared (mentally, physically and geometrically) to "UN COCK and ROLL Down the Delivery Line. Be it a Sequenced or Non Sequenced Release. And then you do it, repeat the Mechanic which is monitored via Feel. A Feel which you have learned through training and reviewed during your Address Routine , Startdown Waggle. You review the feel and then let er go trying to repeat it. Learn by Mechanics Play By Feel.

Uncocking and Rolling on LIne being opposite to Steering.

Thanks for feeding me with understandable bits of information. :notworthy

But in line with the rest of the checklist it would in my opinion have made more sense to call it it Start Down Waggle Prep in section 6 and have the actual Start Down Waggle in section 7, but what do I know!?

Winter almost over.

The recent snow 3 days ago has now melted. The short little pay and play par 3 course may open later this week? It's about time to get the 2011 season rolling and test my new skills. On 9 holes my goal is max 6-7 over par per round. But there is such a thing as putting (and terrible greens)...so you never know.

The Startdown Waggle is covered off , I believe ( Homer can on occasion be uh... slightly confusing ) in Section 3 points 10,11,12. Beside which I have notations reading "Shaft" , "Head" and "Face" accordingly......perhaps from a Lynn lesson or divine intervention maybe.

See also 3-F-5 for more detailed information of the Waggles; Address and Startdown. One can include the Startdown Waggle as part of a Practice Swing or do it separately prior to Startup. Jeff Hull does the latter just before he rips it as part of his routine.

And he can rip it. Rip it good.

Thanks.
I have looked at Jeff Hull on video. As far as I can see, he makes a very long pre start up waggle. If he reads this, he could perhaps tell us if this also is a downstroke waggle practice or just his normal adjusted address waggle? I would have thought it only was the latter, but you could be right. Hope he clears this up. (It could be both at the same time?) :dontknow:

Impressive of an old timer like him (born 1942) to shoot 4 under par on 9 holes after being in the water as well (made par on that hole!). Only Luke Donald was better. He's even 4-6 years older than Yoda and me. :golf:

Johnny Miller +7 ......I bet Paul Casey would have loved to have done the play by play for that.

Not sure what this is all about. Has Miller said something again?

airair 04-06-2011 09:38 PM

Arnold Palmer looked and walked like an old man (81), but nevertheless managed +4, just like the 10 years younger Jack Nicklaus.
