Lynn,
Does Brian hit or swing with the driver?

Brian's Stroke exhibits:

Single Wrist Action . . .

'High' Clubshaft at Top of Backstroke . . .

Fixed Lag Pressure Point . . .

Minimum Accumulator Lag in Downstroke . . .

Muscular Drive Loading . . .

Sweep Release with Right Arm Trigger, and . . .

Angled Hinging.

Based on these observations, I say "Hit".

Others may see it differently.

Suffice it to say that Brian himself feels-- and exhibits -- none of the 'opposites' of the Swinger, that is:

Standard Wrist Action . . .

Parallel (or below) Clubshaft at End of Backstroke . . .

Rotating Lag Pressure Point . . .

Maximum Accumulator Lag in Downstroke . . .

Centrifugal Drag Loading . . .

Snap Release with Left Wrist Trigger . . .

Horizontal
Hinging.

Draw your own conclusions.

Its so simple , so beautiful the way he does it too. Like a "machine" or something. I have a feeling we're going to be watching him on TV for a long long time.
