PS: This is called extension. This guy from Texas did it pretty good:

Ideally your belt buckle should be facing the target when you're completed the extension.

Thank you. Glad to get an answer and help on this one.

Question:
In what way do the hands control the pivot?

drewitgolf 09-08-2011 12:25 PM

Let Me Be Precise...

Hands control the geometry (Alignments). Alignments dictate what the force (Physics) should and should not do. Give geometry the preference over physics and the Hands control the Pivot.

drewitgolf,

I suppose you agree that this is a learned skill. Something you have to train for. Getting the pivot out of it's dictatorial fixed positions.

Yes, the Three Zones (Chapter 9)should be developed in sequence, with Zone One being Body Control.

Omigosh, a Lynn Blake Certified Senior Instructor and proponent of Hands-Controlled-Pivot teaching that Zone 1 (Body and Pivot Control) is not only essential, but mandatory and even primary?

How can this be?

The sounds you just heard was the multitude of bubbles bursting for all those misled souls who have been told -- and actually believed -- that we teach otherwise.
